Snr Performance & Strategic Sales Training Manager EMEA – This role can be based in the UK, Ireland, Spain or Germany. You must have the Right to Work in the selected country. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
Meet the team:
This is an exciting and new key strategic role joining our EMEA Commercial & Sales Training team. This position takes lead in elevating commercial performance across EMEA by designing, delivering and continuously improving high‑impact training solutions that build the capabilities of Sales Representatives and Sales Managers. The role owns commercial training strategy and execution, acting as a strategic partner to the business to advance our Selling Methodology, lead product training initiatives and ensure learning is grounded in data‑driven insight aligned to organisational goals.
Through close collaboration with Country Commercial & Sales leads, Marketing, Sales Operations, subject‑matter experts and cross‑functional project leads, this role ensures training is integrated into commercial systems, consistently implemented across clusters and reinforced through effective coaching and feedback loops. Ultimately, the role strengthens selling effectiveness, drives behavioural adoption and supports competitive sales excellence by providing a structured, scalable and insight‑led enablement framework for the region.
Where you come in:
- You will partner closely with EMEA Sales and Commercial leaders to define training priorities and capability needs, ensuring enablement initiatives are tightly aligned to commercial strategy and performance goals.
- You will drive the execution and continuous evolution of our Selling Methodology, adapting approaches to meet the needs of different customer segments, channels and market maturities while embedding elements that support competitive sales excellence.
- You will lead measurable improvements in selling effectiveness and coaching outcomes by conducting gap analyses across Field Sales and Inside Sales clusters and recommending targeted, insight‑led interventions.
- You are the lead Sales Training Product Manager for training initiatives, owning the design, delivery and innovation of product training programmes and updates in line with portfolio and launch strategies.
- You will partner with Sales Operations to embed training‑driven insights, including behavioural indicators and adoption metrics into commercial dashboards and CRM reporting to drive utilisation and performance impact.
- You will establish robust feedback loops and post‑training reinforcement, including manager coaching cycles, field observations and Q&A clinics, to ensure sustained behaviour change.
- You will co‑design advanced curricula for Sales Representatives and Sales Managers in partnership with subject‑matter experts, ensuring content is relevant, practical and scalable across EMEA.
- You will support cross‑functional project leads and strategic priorities within the Training function, managing timelines, stakeholders, measurement plans and communications.
- You will champion data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement, sharing insights and impact with EMEA LT and MLT through established operating cadences.
What makes you successful:
- You bring at least 13+ years’ experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical field sales training, enablement or commercial excellence, with experience supporting both primary and secondary care teams within the diabetes segment considered a strong advantage.
- 5-8 years previous people management experience
- You have experience in being able to drive measurable competency uplift versus baseline across Product and Selling Methodology frameworks.
- You accelerate time‑to‑proficiency for new product launches and innovations across the region.
- You influence sustained behaviour change, evidenced through observed selling behaviours and the frequency and quality of manager coaching.
- You have a track record of working in partnership with Sales Operations and FP&A to identify and interpret commercial correlation signals, such as initiation rates and win rates.
- You have strong understanding and proficiency with learning technologies, including LMS platforms, CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau); advanced Excel skills are preferred.
- You have a strong understanding of sales processes, KPIs and strategic enablement frameworks, including selling methodologies and manager coaching models.
- You demonstrate the ability to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- You communicate with impact, bringing excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills and confidence working across diverse EMEA markets.
