The Senior Associate/Manager - Payroll will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with internal processes and Revenue requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Manage the end-to-end payroll process on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Process payroll-related information, including calculating wages, bonuses, and deductions, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution. Utilize payroll software and systems to process payroll efficiently.
  • Data Collation and Validation: Partner with multiple internal teams to collate and validate data for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Benefits Collaboration: Collaborate with external benefits providers to collate and validate benefit schemes that have an impact on payroll, including Pension, Share Scheme, healthcare, and other benefits.
  • Reporting and Reconciliation: Compile and reconcile monthly payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Employee Queries: Handle and address payroll-related queries from employees providing clear and accurate information. Identify trends in employee queries and develop Employee Resource guidance documents to address common queries.
  • Process Improvement: Promote continuous improvements by engaging with all partners and streamlining, improving, and automating current processes and procedures where applicable.
  • Statutory Filings: Ensure all payroll statutory obligations and filings are completed in line with statutory due dates, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.  Address and answer queries from external and internal partners or statutory authorities as required
  • Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external partners to ensure effective payroll management.
  • Documentation Review and Compliance: Review and update payroll procedural documentation to reflect current practices and regulatory requirements.  Ensure payroll practices comply with local laws, as well as company policies. Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Audits and Reporting: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Generate payroll reports for management review.
  • Mentoring/Coaching:  Providing mentoring and coaching to members of the payroll/HR benefits team on payroll practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in high volume payroll processing, preferably in a multinational company.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in payroll software, and knowledge of payroll regulations. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multi-task and prioritise requests, with the ability to work with multiple vendors for data coalition.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certifications: IPASS Payroll Qualification
  • Experience: Experience with processing Inbound and Outbound Assignees  Experience using MegaPay payroll software, and using HR Information system Workday in high volume payroll processing environment.
