Job Summary: About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Falcon Dunes Golf Course on Luke AFB. This is a Regular Full-time position, guaranteed 35-40 hours per work week and benefits, to include Health and Life Insurance, 401(k) and NAF Retirement.

Major Duties:

  • Responsible for management and administration of the Golf Course Snack Bar. Plans, directs, and supervises staff in the activities of resale food operation, to ensure high standards of food and beverage program. Responsible for employee motivation and training. Assures proper preparation and presentation of a wide variety of foods. Plans and implements budgets. Take corrective action as necessary to ensure all sales and cost goals are attained. Researches and develops new menus and products for cost/profit benefit. Orders and receives supplies via automated system. Supervises staff on proper sanitation practices and ensures compliance with current hospital guidelines. Responsible for all arrangements for catering activities i.e. banquets, parties, receptions, luncheons, and other special activities, to include contracts, table/furniture set-ups, observe party to ensure efficient service is provided and contract terms are met. Qualifying Experience: At least six months experience in managing food and beverage outlet to include cooking, costing, planning, budgeting and personnel management. Experience and knowledge in food preparation principles and characteristics of food and of planning processes to ensure entire meals are prepared and cooked on time. Knowledge of procedures to order, issue and store food. Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan and organize social functions is desirable. Experience in computing budget and marketing development and analysis, cost of sales, break-even analysis and labor management.
