WHAT YOU’LL DO

Braze delivers customer experiences across email, mobile, SMS, and web, with SMS being a core channel for building real-time connections between brands and consumers. As a Services Consultant, SMS Engagement, you will be the primary subject matter expert responsible for integrating global SMS compliance, regulations, and implementation requirements into the pre-sales process. Your expertise will be critical for scaling our global SMS business and ensuring our Go-to-Market teams can confidently sell and scope compliant solutions

  • Act as the internal pre-sales expert regarding country-specific SMS regulations and acceptable use cases for our prospective customers
  • Join pre-sales Services and Solution Consulting calls to walk customers through the SMS migration process, global compliance requirements, and technical setup.
  • Provide assistance for complex SMS deal scoping, particularly with novel use cases or regulatory nuances.
  • Define what is, or is not possible in various regions, and propose alternative implementation approaches when necessary.
  • Be the subject matter expert on market requirements for SMS and guide customers and internal stakeholders through the initial setup process.
  • Create and automate a process to effectively "greenlight" SMS opportunities, ensuring compliance and feasibility before a deal is closed.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as best practices, compliance guides, and playbooks to support repeatability and training as we expand into new markets.
  • Interface with Sales, Product, and GSS leadership teams on program logistics and operational needs, including training for internal teams.
  • Work cross-functionally to drive scalable solutions and improve existing workflows related to SMS provisioning.

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Strong understanding of US and International SMS regulations
  • Extensive experience in the SMS space, ideally with a strong comfort level regarding complex SMS technical implementation details such as country-specific regulations and compliance standards
  • Proven experience in process optimization/transformation to increase efficiency and support scalability
  • 2-3 years of experience in an operational, consulting, or technical pre-sales role with a technical product, ideally in a SaaS, mobile, or marketing automation oriented company
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university (or similar experience-based proficiency level).
  • A strong mindset for problem-solving
  • Familiarity with the Braze ecosystem is a plus

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $68,800 and $80,900/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $76,400 and $89,900/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
