SME Marketing Manager

Bupa Place, Salford Quays – hybrid working with minimum 2 days in the office

12-month fixed term

Full time – 37.5 hours per week

£53,900 - 67,300 DOE

As SME Marketing Manager, you’ll shape and deliver marketing strategies for our SME segment, driving acquisition, retention, and growth. You’ll lead a small team, optimise lead generation and campaign performance, and ensure our marketing reflects Bupa’s values and commitment to fair customer outcomes. How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Own the SME lead generation programme and channel mix strategy.
  • Deliver in-life marketing plans to boost value perception, cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Oversee marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, ensuring compelling content and measurable ROI.
  • Partner with Product, Distribution and Specialist Marketing teams to align SME marketing plans.
  • Manage marketing budget (c.£5m Opex) efficiently and report on KPIs to senior leadership.
  • Champion innovation and insight-driven decision-making within regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead and develop a team of 3–4 marketing professionals, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Proven B2B marketing expertise, ideally in Financial or Professional Services.
  • Strong track record in lead generation, CRM and Martech stacks is desirable.
  • Evidence-based marketing approach with ability to demonstrate ROI is essential.
  • Experience managing teams and developing talent pipelines would be ideal.  
  • Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders in complex, matrix organisations is essential.
  • Commercial and creative thinker with ability to implement new initiatives quickly.
