About the service

Yanna Yanna Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) is a women’s-only sub-acute, home-like service in our community dedicated to providing practical mental health support for women, trans and gender diverse people who identify as non-binary or as female. Our participants include women that are experiencing diagnoses of personality disorders and/or complex trauma that would benefit from accessible supports delivered in a women-only environment.

This is a wholistic 24/7 program, delivered in partnership with the Area Mental Health Service, offering both clinical and psychosocial support to women who are becoming unwell, or as an additional support to strengthen their gains whilst transitioning from an inpatient setting back home.

About the opportunity

This is a rewarding opportunity to build professional, trusting relationships with women and gender diverse people engaged in the service and empower them along their journey towards recovery.

The Sleepover Recovery Worker role is integral to the Yanna Yanna PARC program as it involves working closely with participants to support healthy evening routines whilst at PARC. As a Sleepover Recovery Worker, you will use your skills to approach situations with a calming lens, have the ability to support people as they wind down for the night or just sit quietly with someone and connect in moments of need. You will have a good sense of how to address emerging risks and support people through potential distress.

We are looking for a new team member to join us to join us 2 - 3 nights a week, including weekends.

Sleepover shifts are active from 5:30pm to 11pm, then inactive sleepover (with the ability to wake up and convert to active if required) and active again from 7am –9am to support early morning routines and handover. Penalty rates apply for relevant hours worked.
