The Opportunity:
All Data Consultants have operational responsibility for institutional data and supports the organization’s commitment to transparent, inclusive, data-informed decision-making through rigorous process evaluation, data management, and strategic analysis.
The Sleep Research Data Consultant focus is on the transformation, organization and analysis of data utilized in the Sleep and Performance Research Center (SPRC). In this role, you will be expected to monitor the overall project portfolio for consistency and best practices in data management, perform statistical analysis utilizing descriptive statistics techniques, and complete visualization through graph plots and tables. You will also provide recommendations for Principal Investigator review.
You will have access to proprietary data and information which must be maintained in methods as defined by agreements. All work will be performed with data protection and confidentiality held in the highest regard.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,119 to $5,531 | Range 46 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree including college level course work in statistics and/or mathematics AND one (1) year of experience working as a Data Consultant 1 or equivalent OR equivalent education/experience.
Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data sets from a variety of sources.
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products, including experience using conditional formatting and Excel function.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using analytics software such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or related tools.
Experience analyzing quantitative or qualitative data, interpreting findings, discerning implications, and drawing conclusions.
