Job Description:
The Sleep Center Assistant will be responsible for the front office, clerical, registrations and patient scheduling duties of the Sleep Center as well as assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physicians.
The Sleep Center Assistant will possess a solid knowledge base in sleep disorders and clinical indications for evaluations.
The responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to, answering phone calls and completing requests or directing patient’s questions to appropriate individuals if requests cannot be met.
Employee ensures that all required pre-certifications and authorizations for patient testing are obtained as well as any required referrals for patient appointments and testing.
The Sleep Center Assistant is expected to project a friendly and professional attitude to patients, physicians and employees.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in a medical setting with medical terminology knowledge preferred.
BLS certification required.
