Job Summary

• Skills development facilitator - reporting functions to HR and Transformation team - responsible for co-ordinating the audit requirements, for HP South Africa Annual Skills Plan Audit. Support the ongoing audit and documentation of all skills development initiatives to ensure compliance with BEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) requirements. Develop, update, and execute the annual skills development plan aligned with HP South Africa’s business objectives and statutory obligations. Coordinate with training providers, internal stakeholders, and the HR team to drive effective learning and development interventions. Prepare and submit all required documentation for BEE verification and external audits. Monitor and report on training spend, participation, and outcomes to ensure optimal allocation of resources and achievement of targets. Stakeholders include the Human Resources team, Finance, Facilities Management, and external training providers

• Executive Assistance & Communications - reporting the MD of HP SCA, the role will cover functions and not limited to, business strategy and operations and communications support, managing projects to improve sales processes, generating comprehensive detailed reports, and providing support to the sales managers where necessary.

• Act as the primary site operations contact for the South Africa Head Office, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of office facilities.- a significant portion will encompass focus on communications, and management of logistics/orchestration and project scheduling for business operation in SA, and overall site compliance/planning including interactions with real estate planning, sustainability and business resource group strategy/participation.

Responsibilities

• Requires strong cross-functional collaboration at all levels, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strategy, articulate objectives, and drive execution

• Plans and directs all administrative, financial and operational activities for the Market MD, prioritizes critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making.

• Drive preparation and achieve outcomes for leader meetings, presentations, and internal/external engagement.  

• Responsible for internal/external communications strategy, planning and calendar of activities. 

• Analyse and report performance based on strategies and business goals, identify areas that need improvement e.g., sales productivity reports on

• Use data and insights to enable the organization to operate effectively

• Equip the Market MD to lead effectively in key internal and external executive meetings (i.e., messaging definition, storyboarding, communicating needs/gathering information, and organizing it in a compelling way).

• Serve as an owner for Opex coordination & deployment in partnership with MD/HR.

• Manage/nurture the Graduate initiative in partnership with HR.

• Undertakes projects aimed at improving sales processes or supporting sales-related initiatives.

  • Maintains accurate records and documentation of sales-related activities and customer interactions.
  • Generates comprehensive reports and dashboards to provide insights into sales performance and trends.
  • Utilizes specialized knowledge to resolve complex order management issues and support critical projects across product lines.

• Prepares and communicates issue resolutions for external customers and collaborates with external-facing representatives as needed.

• Prepare agendas, minutes, presentations, and reports for executive meetings.

• Act as a confidential liaison between the Managing Director and internal/external stakeholders.

• Draft, review, and distribute business correspondence on behalf of the Managing Director, ensuring clarity and consistency in communications.

• Coordinate internal communications, circulating company updates, policies, and executive messages as required. • Evaluates and implements sales support tools and technology to enhance productivity and effectiveness. • Ensures that sales processes adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

• Support implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at the site.

• Oversee the management of purchase orders, office supplies, and vendor relationships.

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in customer support, sales operations, sales support, people management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

• Relevant experience, including experience in management consulting, business planning & Program/Project Management.

Preferred Certifications/ Competencies

• Sales Operations Professional (CSOP)

• MS office – Advanced to Expert certification

• Presentation skills certification

• Preferred training/certification supporting with ETDP SETA (Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority)

• Demonstrated knowledge of BEE legislation and skills development compliance in South Africa.
