$63,273 - $78,447 / minimum starting pay

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.  Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.

What You Will Be Doing:

This position is partnered with Claims and SIU staff, law enforcement, attorneys, investigators, and other outside resources to investigate potentially fraudulent or suspicious claims. Exhibit a higher level of investigation and analytical ability to perform in-depth investigations and analysis not expected from adjusters. Responsible for conducting thorough, timely, efficient, and impartial investigations to accurately resolve inconsistent or questionable situations for Claims and other departments as requested.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum of three years special investigation insurance claims experience or law enforcement or medical background or similar related work experience; or significant claims investigation experience at Adjuster level with consistent high level of performance and achievement over career.
• Designation in CIFI, CFE, FCLS or FCLA is preferred.
• Excellent organization skills, analysis, investigation, and decision making.
• Experience in fraud data analytics is advantageous.
• Superior interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and interview skills.
• Excellent analytical skills, with significant attention to detail.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze policies as well as state and local statutes.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
