SITE RELIABILITY MECHANICAL ENGINEER

The DuPont Tedlar® team is seeking a Reliability Engineer at our Vinyl Fluoride production facility located in Louisville, KY.  This position is responsible for managing the overall performance of the mechanical and utility equipment and implementation of productivity improvement projects. Additionally, this position will drive Reliability and Maintenance best practices within the unit.​

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION ​

  • Support DuPont Core Value initiatives including Safety, Environmental, Process Safety Management (PSM), Ethics, and a Respectful Workplace
  • Provide technical support required to maintain day-to-day production activities
  • Develop and implement improvements projects (cost and capital) to plant mechanical systems to improve overall equipment effectiveness or reduce maintenance cost
  • Monitor process and asset performance, assess reliability of operations, and implement solutions
  • Implement and improve predictive and preventive maintenance plans for the units’ assets
  • Improve the site’s maintenance work management processes
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Investigations for mechanical and process failures
  • Identify and maintain Process Safety Critical equipment and processes
  • Participate in and lead Process Safety Management programs including Incident Investigations and Process Hazards Analysis (PHA)

 JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing involving rotating machinery, piping, and vessels.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Solid demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and organization skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Process Safety Management (PSM) experience
  • Capability to effectively lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • Ability to specify and maintain rotating equipment
  • Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance Module
  • Experience with vibration analysis
  • Experience with equipment oil analysis
