RightShip is seeking a highly capable Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our DevOps team. As an SRE, you will be responsible for the scalability, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based services.

You will work closely with Architecture, Engineering, and Security teams to design and maintain systems that are secure, observable, and cost-efficient, with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.

Major Responsibilities 

Reliability and Performance

  • Design, build, and maintain systems that deliver strong reliability, scalability, uptime, and performance
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss

Incident Response

  • Set up and manage comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to detect issues proactively
  • Respond swiftly to incidents, coordinate resolution efforts, and lead post-incident reviews to prevent reoccurrence

Security and Compliance

  • Contribute to the creation and enforcement of security frameworks, standards, and best practices
  • Verify that systems meet regulatory and industry compliance requirements through regular reviews and audits

Automation and Infrastructure Management

  • Build automation tools and scripts to streamline operational workflows and boost efficiency
  • Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible

Collaboration

  • Partner with development teams to enhance the stability, security, and reliability of software products

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with GitHub (workflow automation, PR workflows, secrets management)
  • Hands-on experience with log aggregation and observability tools like Datadog, SigNoz (or equivalent: Splunk, ELK, etc.)
  • Familiarity with incident management practices and SRE principles (SLAs, SLOs, error budgets)
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.)
  • You can work with minimal supervision
  • You have a good command of both verbal and written English
