Overview:

A Site Reliability Engineer ensures the stability, scalability, and performance of critical production systems by combining software engineering principles with deep operational expertise. They build automation, improve observability, and drive reliability-focused practices across development and infrastructure teams. The role centers on reducing toil, preventing incidents, and enabling fast, safe delivery of services at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Manage information technology and computer systems.
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate lab and data center operations.
• Lead incident response efforts, including identifying, mitigating, and resolving service disruptions or outages. Implement post-incident reviews to prevent recurrences.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems in co-operation with team admins.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Experience in data center management and data governance.
• Experience in Windows and Vmware Operating Systems and Virtual Platforms.
• Proficient with computer networks, Cisco network administration and network installation of switches and firewalls.

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, strong ability to prioritize.
• Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior management.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Linux (SLES, openSUSE, Ubuntu/Debian)
• Virtualization (VMware)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or similar.
