Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Site Project Manager will provide operational leadership to the maintenance team during all phases of the project.

This position is based near Cold Lake, AB on our client site.

What You Will Be Working On:

Leadership

  • Demonstrate the Promise and contribute to it becoming embedded across the organization.

Project Management

  • Utilize maintenance management experience to deliver service specific plans, procedures, and reporting processes that support consistent, predictable execution.
  • Organize and support daily operations.
  • Support estimating departments.
  • Manage overall team performance based on metrics that include cost, schedule, scope, quality and safety.
  • Develop and implement communication plans for all key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of third parties.
  • Support a working environment that strives to meet HSE objectives.
  • Acts as the focal point / link between the client and team ensuring details and expectations are clear and understood.
  • Ensures that all manpower / tools / equipment / materials and facilities; overall site resources are aligned and committed.
  • Involved in the selection of the maintenance supervisors and foreman, acts as a resource on all activities providing coaching / mentoring to supervisory staff and champions issue resolution; internal and external with the client, involving contract safety, quality control, cost control, schedule and performance concerns.
  • Ensures that all invoicing, accounting and payroll reporting and monitoring systems are in place and adhered to, enabling the accurate daily progress reporting and budget / estimate status.
  • Tracks and reports to client on overruns that will adversely affect work order budget and schedule.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance as well as execute performance reviews annually to direct reports.
  • Any other duties requested by Senior Management.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • 10 years’ experience in a refinery/chemical plant maintenance
  • Hard dollar project management experience an asset
  • Strong understanding of the technical, maintenance and operating aspects of process equipment and related facilities
  • Evidence of exceptional leadership skills and ability to influence, mentor and coach
  • Ability to inspire trust in difficult situations by instilling confidence and engaging people on matters that affect them
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities capable of handling pressure and challenges
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
  • Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals
  • Ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills at multiple levels: client/owner representative construction site
  • Supportive of a culture that encompasses the highest ethical standards
