The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Site Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy. The Site M&E Supervisor will be coordinating and inspecting the M&E installation works throughout its scope of delivery.
The Site M&E Supervisor will report to the Civil Construction Manager and integrate the Site Management team.
The role will be a fully site based one of our key locations in Italy.
How you will make an impact :
Support the engineering activities related to M&E, by contributing with the construction perspective, lessons learnt and best practices, whilst ensuring its constructability
Review the M&E ITPs and ITRs, as well as all technical submissions from sub contractors to ensure compliance with the respective design and specifications
Coordinate all on-site M&E installation activities in alignment with project delivery schedule/activities to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements
Support the Civil Construction Manager in making detailed working plans with the Sub-Contractors of the M&E scope installation activities, including necessary local resources, equipment, suppliers, and milestones
Ensure that all documentation related to the M&E scope is revised and updated as necessary, and that the latest revisions are used for the construction work on site
Monitor and inspect the M&E installation activities, ensuring the required quality for the respective works according to the standards and specifications
Lead or participate in site meetings related to the M&E scope, and whenever required, with Customer, sub-contractors, and Hitachi Energy site personnel
Prepare and coordinate the M&E related red marked drawings with the subcontractors and engineering
Your background:
Engineering competence bachelor’s or MSc. degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or related
Relevant on-site experience
Ready to work in an international and multicultural work environment
Experience in industrial projects; in the energy sector is a plus
Great communication skills
Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken is required to be able to interact with various stakeholders
