ROLE SUMMARY

The PGS Algeria Site Lead provides leadership, strategic direction, and tactical oversight to the facility, in alignment with the Pfizer’s Blueprint and associated PGS Outcome Metrics. This includes responsibility for production operations and support functions: Utilities & Maintenance, Engineering & Technical support, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain/Warehousing, Finance, Procurement, Site transformation/OE, regardless of reporting relationship

Primary accountabilities include developing and executing operating plans that lead to the achievement of the sites' mission; making effective financial and operational decisions to positively impact the short and long-term plans of the site and commercial goals of the products being manufactured at the site; developing and maintaining a cost effective, competitive organization through effective organizational design, workforce planning, leadership and talent development, external stakeholder management, objective setting, training, and performance management; ensuring a culture that fosters courage, excellence, equity and joy.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the site.

  • Develop and execute operating plans that lead to the achievement of the site and product goals.

  • Lead and act in a manner that supports a strong compliance mindset for all site colleagues

  • Ensures operations at the site is carried out in accordance with Pfizer’s corporate values, Good Manufacturing Practices, Public Health Codes and applicable standards and laws

  • Provide direction and leadership for all site operations including but not limited to:

  • Manufacturing, Quality Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Product and Process Technology, Strategic Planning and Product Introduction, Operational Excellence, Engineering, and EHS.

  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including but not limited to other areas within the Pfizer supply network, external suppliers, local community and political entities, colleagues, and legal organizations.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, regulators and other stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through effective selection, training, leadership and management.

  • Support and foster operational excellence across all functions, including the continued implementation of Integrated Manufacturing Excellence.

  • Assume leadership responsibilities on network initiatives that drive results across OpU, Pharma Ops, and PGS.

  • Continually evaluate best in class, technology, processes, and talent to ensure optimal supply to support continued growth in the commercial businesses.

  • Ensure ethics and integrity through compliance / risk management.

  • Support strategic acquisitions and/or partnerships as required.

  • Make effective financial and operational decisions to positively impact both short and long-term site goals,

  • Create, establish and maintain an environment that encourages teamwork, empowerment and commitment to meeting the site performance objectives.

  • Ensure an effective Talent Management process for talent identification, talent development and coaching, performance management and succession planning

  • Builds good reputation & represent the site and Company in the local community as needed.

  • Participate in Algeria Country Management Forum

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 10 years directly related experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, at least five of which should be in an operations leadership role

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and empower others to continuously improve.

  • Ability to make swift decisions while ensuring appropriate stakeholders are included and/or informed as appropriate.

  • Flexibility and agility to lead the site to meet changing business needs.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Critical and strategic thinker

  • Strong leadership skills to lead the site organization in changing and demanding environment

  • Strong internal and external collaboration skills

  • Aptitude for taking thoughtful risk.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in technical discipline, and/or Master of Business Administration degree preferred.

  • Experience in more than one facility and/or functional area is a plus.
