We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Site Inventory Lead to join our manufacturing team, based out of our Tomoana, New Zealand - Heinz Watties site!

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Lead and develop the Inventory Control team, including hiring, training, performance reviews and disciplinary actions as required.
Ensure accurate creation, maintenance and processing of shop orders to support smooth shop-floor operations.
Maintain and reconcile inventory records for all warehouses/locations (excluding HMS), ensuring correct stock levels are held.
Investigate and resolve inventory variances across WIP, Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Dries and Packaging, documenting root causes and corrective actions.
Oversee validation and entry of factory data so accurate, timely inventory and performance reports are available for management.
Produce and present weekly and monthly performance and financial reports, highlighting opportunities and action plans.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (including RCA) to improve cost, yield and plan attainment targets.
Work collaboratively with Operations, Planning, Procurement and other functions to ensure robust end-to-end processes affecting inventory.
Maintain a safe, ethical workplace by embedding Company Health & Safety, Food Safety and ethical standards and promoting a Zero Harm mindset.
About you:
Strong and proven leadership, coaching, and people management skills
Proven inventory control and reconciliation expertise
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience driving continuous improvement and KPI performance
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, with BPCS experience preferred
Strong Microsoft office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting)
