Job Title: HR Site Director

Location: Uppsala Sweden

The Role

We are looking for an experienced HR Site Director to lead and oversee HR management for our Uppsala site, partnering closely with senior business leaders to translate business strategy into effective people plans.

Reporting to the Global Head of HR Operations, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor, HR subject matter expert, and member of the Site Leadership Team, accountable for delivering end‑to‑end HR leadership across the full employee lifecycle.

This role has strategic, long-term impact on organizational performance and culture, while also ensuring flawless execution of HR operations in a regulated, unionized environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Lead and implement the HR Management / HR Business Partner strategy for the site in alignment with Galderma’s global people agenda
  • Translate business and functional strategies into integrated HR plans across workforce planning, capability building, culture, and engagement
  • Establish and execute people strategies with a 3–5 year horizon, balancing business needs with employee experience

Business Partnership & Governance

  • Act as a strategic business partner to senior leaders, influencing decision-making and organizational direction
  • Serve as a core member of the Site Leadership Team, contributing to governance, cross-functional alignment, and enterprise-wide accountability
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including works councils / unions

Operational Excellence & Transformation

  • Oversee and continuously improve HR processes, policies, and programs in line with Galderma’s operating standards
  • Drive transformation initiatives and change management programs to build organizational capability
  • Partner with HR Shared Services and global Centers of Excellence to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective execution

People & Talent Leadership

  • Lead and develop HR teams and leaders, ensuring strong talent selection, succession, and organizational design
  • Optimize team structures and capabilities to support business growth and operational excellence
  • Act as a role model for leadership behaviors and Galderma values

Compliance & Employee Relations

  • Ensure compliance with Swedish labor law, social security, health & safety, and collective agreements
  • Proactively manage employee relations and support a constructive social dialogue
  • Ensure adherence to quality, ethical, environmental, and regulatory standards

Experience & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior HR Business Partner or Site HR Director roles
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing and/or R&D environment within an international, matrix organization
    (Experience in Pharmaceutical, Aesthetics, Life Sciences, or Cosmetics is a strong plus)
  • Demonstrated success in strategic HR leadership, organizational transformation, and change management
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish labor law, social security, and employee relations
  • Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders across complex organizations
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Fluent in English and Swedish
