Job Description

Major Accountabilities:

  • Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Ensure technical training and compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive asset reliability and maintenance efficiency across all site facilities and equipment.
  • Oversee vendor and contractor management, ensuring effective partnerships and contract execution.
  • Manage capital investment budgets and capital project portfolios, delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Champion continuous improvement and implement best practices in engineering processes.
  • Support audits and inspections, maintaining readiness and adherence to safety standards.

The salary for this position is expected to range between $132,300 and $245,700 per year.

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a GMP environment.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large engineering teams and/or major capital projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including contract and financial oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of chemical or pharmaceutical processes and equipment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in safety, compliance, and regulatory standards.
