The business controller provides leadership, oversight, guidance, and direction to the business. They will manage and focus on leading and managing accounting, compliance, SOX, Audits, and methods within guidelines & policies and regulatory requirements of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all FP&A reporting to management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis (including 3-year Strategy Planning and Budget)
Act as a key business partner to the Plant Manager performing ad-hoc tasks to satisfy requests and inform plant and Industrial Components leadership of financial implications of business decisions.
Oversee 3-Year Strategy Planning process including coordination with Commercial, Engineering, and Operations functions to coordinate presentation to Industrial Components leadership and long-term financials creation.
Ownership of Budget process working with plant leadership to set direction and establish financial targets.
Direct monthly forecasting process
Oversee monthly close process.
Manage and improve Internal Controls and Procedures
Assist with monthly SIOP process.
Compliance (HGB, GAAP, SOX)
Fiduciary profit-and-loss responsibility for approximately $60 Million operation
Train non-financial leaders in financial concepts
Partner with other functions and serve as lead financial support for plant projects.
Support and guidance with plant leadership to understand product line profitability.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance
MBA and/or CPA preferred.
At least 8 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous Controller experience in a manufacturing environment with multi-site responsibility a big plus
Good written and spoken English skills
