We have a new opening for a Site Contract Specialist to join our Clinical Start-Up team in Spain.
Our teams combine and deliver startup activities for the clinical trials, collaborating to improve processes, cycle, and flexibility. We partner with our sites, businesses, and colleagues around the world to decrease startup timelines and go above and beyond.
As a Site Contract Specialist, you will draft and negotiate contracts, as well as, complete the contract process.
A day in the Life:
Drafts, reviews, negotiates and finalizes agreements with study sites in accordance with local/accepted processes.
Negotiates within approved parameters both investigator grant budgets, contractual terms and conditions per company contractual considerations, client contractual considerations, and established processes.
Ensures compliance to established negotiation parameters, authority approval, contractual processes, and client expectations.
Ensures compliance with budgetary mentorship, templates, and processes.
Identifies and assesses legal, financial, and operational risks, advancing them as necessary.
Provides recommendations and alternative resolutions to Investigator Contract negotiations through established channels for blocking issues.
Coordinates with internal functional departments to ensure site startup activities align with contractual activities and timelines.
Achieves target cycle times for site activations.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification.
Previous experience (2-5 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Essential
Negotiating contracts within clinical trials
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of the fundamentals of contract law, covering business, intellectual property, and local tax regulations.
Proven ability to apply basic principles of investigator grant negotiation.
Effective interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in English and French.
Capable of drafting and negotiating contract provisions and budgetary issues within parameters.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent analytical and decision-based thinking.
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical product development process.
Able to work independently or in a team environment.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Able to coordinate competing priorities logically and review outstanding contractual risks.
Proficient with automated systems and computerized applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and teamwork skills.
