Simulation Technician

Ohakea, New Zealand Full time

                                                                                                         

As a Simulator Technician, you will be responsible for the Maintenance Manager to perform all preventative and corrective maintenance on the training devices that sit under your team’s support, in s safe and effective manner, ensuring maximum successful training events are achieved by the end user.

You will also be responsible for supply support within the maintenance services including stock takes, parts ordering, shipping and receiving parts, and other supply support task as directed.

The role we are offering you

  • Carry out all maintenance related tasks effectively
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed by yourself and others
  • Assist with investigations supporting site-based engineering development needs
  • Engage with the customer and support on any incidents that require attention

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Ideally hold a trade/technician background, e.g. electrical, electronics technician, IT, avionics technician
  • A defence or aviation background will be advantageous
  • Strong problem skills

Location:

  • Ohakea, New Zealand
  • This is an on-site role

Security requirements

As the New Zealand Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance to work in this role.
