Our Sofia based team will enhance GF’s scale and capabilities, while strengthening competitiveness of its specialized application solutions to further position the company for growth and value creation. 

Our Design and Technology Enablement teams are working on the development of a broad portfolio of semiconductor technologies ranging from 350 nm down to 12nm including FD-SOI, RF, High-Voltage, and automotive applications. 

Your Role 

You will join a dynamic team within Device Engineering and Technology Enablement, working on advanced semiconductor modeling and data analytics. This hybrid role combines TCAD simulation, machine learning, and data automation to accelerate device development and improve productivity. You will work with international team members to develop and automate TCAD solutions.  

Key Responsibilities 

- TCAD & ML Integration 

  • Set up and maintain large-scale TCAD batch simulations on Linux-based environments. 

  • Develop and optimize ML models (e.g., ANN) using TCAD results for predictive analysis. 

  • Perform Model vs. Hardware comparisons and document findings for dashboards. 

- Automation & Data Engineering 

  • Automate data preparation, visualization, and reporting workflows for semiconductor device analysis. 

  • Build and deploy production-grade analytics applications leveraging on-premises and cloud infrastructure. 

  • Collaborate with GFIT and infrastructure teams to streamline automation pipelines. 

- Advanced Analytics 

  • Apply statistical, analytical, and ML techniques to device data for predictive insights. 

  • Identify and implement suitable ML approaches for Device Engineering challenges. 

- Collaboration & Leadership 

  • Coordinate with TCAD stakeholders to forecast modeling needs and manage licenses. 

  • Develop strong connections across our company sites.  

  • Maintain an excellent customer focus in delivering solutions.  

Required Qualifications 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field. 
  • Experience with TCAD workflows and ML model development a strong plus. 
  • Proficiency in Linux, Python, and shell scripting; ability to expand and maintain existing codebases. 
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy) and visualization tools. 
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and cloud-based deployment. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in English 

Preferred Experience  

  • Semiconductor industry experience. 
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling and predictive analytics. 
  • Linux environment development
