The Role and Impact
Join Intel's Devices Development Group as a SoC Design Verification Engineer, contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge technologies. In this critical role, you will perform functional logic verification, ensuring our integrated SoCs meet specifications and deliver on Intel's promise of innovation. You will collaborate closely with architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to validate complex architectural features and improve product quality while shaping Intel's technical success and leadership in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional logic verification of integrated SoCs to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Define and develop scalable, reusable verification plans, test benches, and environments at the block, subsystem, and SoC levels.
- Execute verification plans and utilize emulation and system simulation models to validate design, analyze power and performance, and uncover bugs.
- Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the presilicon environment, implementing corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
- Document verification test plans and drive technical reviews with design and architecture teams.
- Maintain and optimize existing functional verification infrastructure and methodologies.
- Leverage postsilicon learnings to update test plans and proliferate improvements to future products.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in hardware verification languages such as System Verilog HDL, Verilog, C, or C++.
- Demonstrated experience with industry-standard emulation and debugging tools such as Zebu or Palladium.
- Strong knowledge of SoC fabric, including cache coherency, Graphics, and power management clusters.
- Expertise in emulation model bring-up, including developing verification components and executing test plans for complex subsystems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent debugging and analytical abilities to identify and resolve design issues.
- Familiarity with DFD (Design for Debug), D2D/Ucie, and AI subsystems such as VPU.
- Ability to develop tools and methodologies that streamline IP development and SoC integration for improved quality and efficiency.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
