Summary
Responsible for performing the installing and maintenance of skilled and semi-skilled work involving traffic control signs and complex pavement markings and operation of specialized equipment. Responsible for physically assisting the Police and Park Department in traffic control and layout of various special events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, remove, repair, and maintain traffic control signs and pavement markings.
Operate, maintain, and repair specialized equipment for street marking and signage placement.
Enter records for signs and markings in a computer using an asset management system.
Trim trees and shrubbery obstructing traffic control signs.
Investigate and resolve citizen complaints regarding traffic signs.
Setup barricades, cones and signing to control traffic for lane closures and various special events.
Ability to work after hours, holidays or weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Up to 1 year related experience.
Valid Class C Texas driver’s license.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
The incumbent works outdoors, performing physical labor in high-traffic areas with frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
Must be able to work at heights of up to 30 feet.
