Side Loader Forklift Operator

Flynn Group of Companies is currently seeking an experienced Side Loader Forklift Operator to support our Vancouver manufacturing shop, based out of our Surrey, BC facility (19175 – 22nd Avenue, Surrey, BC V3Z 3S6).
This is a newly created full-time position to support growing production volume. We are specifically seeking candidates with recent, hands-on side loader experience in a manufacturing environment.
Day in the Life
- Operate a side loader forklift (with custom attachments) safely and efficiently
- Move and transport large modular wall panel systems, including oversized glass units
- Remove completed units from the assembly line and load onto shipping racks
- Work closely with another operator in a team-based environment
- Complete all safety checklists, documentation, and tracking accurately and on time
- Scan and track modules for inventory and job completion
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions
- Perform other related duties as required
*Please note: Only candidates with recent side loader forklift experience will be considered.

Regular Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00 AM – 2:15 PM (Paid for 8 hours per day)
What We Are Seeking
Must-Haves
- Minimum 3–4 years of recent experience operating a side loader forklift
- Manufacturing environment experience (mandatory)
- Valid forklift operator certification/license
- Proven ability to safely handle large, oversized, and high-value modular units
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proficient English communication skills
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must live locally in the Lower Mainland (relocation assistance not available)
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
Nice to Have
- Experience with inventory tracking, scanning, or materials handling documentation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Flexibility to assist with other shop tasks as needed during slower periods
