The Shop Mechanic is responsible for completing tear downs and repair of equipment during the day to day activities in the shop
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tear down, inspect, diagnose and repair Rental equipment.
- Maintain proper and accurate paperwork including completion of inspection documentation
- Follow documented procedures and maintain a high degree of quality
- Perform housekeeping, organization, and maintenance of work area and tools
- Painting and sandblasting of product
- Perform inspection of products using inspection equipment applicable to the task
- In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
- Function as a team member and support other teams
- Ensure company policies are followed
- Repair Diesel engines and pumps. repair trailer lighting
- Mechanic experience required.
- Employee must supply own tools and toolbox.
- Employee must be available on call 24hrs for 3 weeks a month.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience
- Mechanical Aptitude that includes but not limited to, drills, grinders, and other shop tools
- Ability to use, read and interpret a tape measure
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Organized; Detail-Oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic computer/laptop skills
- Must be able to physically lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must have current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times.
