Role Summary:
The Shipping / Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate flow of goods and materials into inventory and from manufacturing to customers. This role supports shipping, planning, sales, and operations by coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all documentation and processes are completed in line with company standards.
Responsibilities:
Receive and unpack incoming shipments, verify accuracy against documentation, and record details in the system
Report discrepancies, damages, or issues with received goods to Inventory Control and Purchasing
Prepare, process, and maintain shipping and receiving documentation for both domestic and international orders
Coordinate carrier pickups, track shipments, and resolve delivery or logistics issues with suppliers and shipping providers
Store materials appropriately in stockroom shelves and bins while maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Pick and prepare orders accurately and efficiently to support operational and customer requirements
Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic inventory reviews to maintain stock accuracy
Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and electronic records for easy retrieval
Follow established procedures consistently and accurately
Support general warehouse operations and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Years of relevant experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately and consistently
Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory handling
Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment
Forklift license
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with carrier systems such as FedEx, UPS, or similar logistics platforms
Forklift operation experience
Good organizational and communication skills
