Position Summary
The Group Leader is responsible for supporting the department Manager and Supervisors in the total leadership and operation of the DC, including: overall department management, supervision, and policy implementation, employee staffing, training, and development, drive department goals, to include meeting customer needs and all department metrics. Group Leaders are considering a pipeline for future department supervisors and must be capable of learning multiple departments within the DC and growing their skills to lead a team.
2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 4pm-12am
Pay: $21/hour + $0.75/hour shift premium
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead others and work effectively with department team.
- Supervise, assign, and direct activities of the department colleagues.
- Effectively communicate information to team in an open and timely manner.
- Support Manager and Supervisors as needed to ensure operation effectiveness.
- Utilize various reports, summaries, and procedures as necessary to resolve problems that colleagues may encounter in their job function
- Assign colleagues to work areas within the department to achieve a balanced workload and meet operational metrics.
- Confer daily with department Manager and Supervisor to determine departmental staffing needs and assignments.
- Conduct audits as determined by Supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Train, develop, and evaluate team members.
- Maintain attendance and performance records of colleagues.
- Ensure on-the-job safety of all employees.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally (courteous and cordial). Must possess excellent communication skills to ensure information is transmitted properly from shift to shift.
- Must be certified on all equipment needed to complete job task
- Ability to work overtime
- Leadership skills, problem solving, decision making, multi tasking, delegate work load, set goals, role model for morale, promote production by example, and ensure completion of the task at hand.
- Strong WMS knowledge, computer literacy.
- Must be available immediately and attend all mandatory Training Classes.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel, word and Power Point presentations.
- Proficient in Policies and Procedures across all shifts of the Operation.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner following prescribed work methods.
- Dependability.
- Excellent attendance a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience.
Education
- Associate degree preferred but not required.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $28.46
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
