Shipping and Receiving Foreman 3rd Shift

Working under the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Foreman is responsible for leading, supporting, and directing all warehouse functions—including receiving, shipping, material handling, inventory control, and sample/e-commerce fulfillment—across both Harborgate (HG) and Western warehouse facilities. This role ensures efficient inbound and outbound flow, accurate documentation, and timely communication to support production and customer requirements for both sites.
The Foreman maintains warehouse operations by coordinating, enforcing, and improving programs, policies, and procedures that ensure product availability, accuracy, and excellent customer service. The individual supports compliance with all quality programs including HACCP, SQF, food safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. Routine decisions may be made independently, while non-routine matters may require supervisor approval.


 

• Coordinate outbound shipping schedules for both Harborgate and Western facilities.

• Ensure outbound shipments are labeled, staged, documented, and loaded according to FIFO/FEFO.

• Communicate with transportation teams, customer service, schedulers, and 3PL partners.

• Verify outbound trailer safety, cleanliness, and temperature.

• Ensure completion of BOLs, RFGen, and SAP shipping transactions.

RECEIVING & INBOUND RESPONSIBILITIES (HG & Western)

• Lead receiving of raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and finished goods.

• Verify seal integrity, temperature, sanitation, and trailer condition.

• Ensure unloading procedures, spotter rules, and safety standards.

• Confirm materials are labeled, system-received, staged, and stored properly.

• Communicate discrepancies or damages to Procurement, QA, and leadership.

• Prioritize inbound loads based on production and space needs.

GENERAL WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS (HG & Western)

• Support safety, quality, service, and productivity goals at both sites.

• Support financial objectives through efficiency improvements.

• Help standardize processes across both locations.

• Assist with cycle counts and root-cause investigations.

• Ensure accurate FG inventory movement in SAP.

• Support sample orders and e-commerce shipments.

• Promote a strong safety culture at both HG and Western.

• Ensure policy compliance.

• Must travel between sites and support off-shift/weekend as needed.

• Perform other duties within role scope.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Required – High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Required – 1–3 years of manufacturing experience

• Required – Previous forklift experience

• Required – Ability to read and interpret documents in English

• Required – Ability to write routine reports in English

• Required – Ability to perform basic math

• Preferred – 1–3 years food production experience

• Preferred – Ability to speak before groups

• Preferred – English/Spanish bilingual

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Must lift 10–25 lbs regularly and over 50 lbs with assistance. Vision requirements include focus adjustment and peripheral vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional wet or humid conditions, and moderate noise. Must be available for overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: $27.30
