We are looking for you to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator 3 to support production and manufacturing operations at our Central Virginia manufacturing facilities.

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment.

  • (Un)pack or (un)wrap items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.    

  • Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.

  • Log receipt of items in system and process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.

  • Report materials shipped and bills of lading and post weight and shipping charges.

  • Route merchandise to destinations.

  • Use computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting.

  • Follow shipping practices and procedures and transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.

This position is contingent upon proposal/task award.

Basic Qualifications for the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator 3:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience in a manufacturing/production, warehouse/stockroom, or shipping/receiving environment.

  • Experience using computer systems for shipping and receiving

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds 

  • Must be able to drive a Northrop Grumman company vehicle to other Northrop Grumman sites within a 200-mile radius

  • Must obtain fork truck certification after hire

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

  • US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance

  • 1+ years of experience in shipping and receiving

  • 1+ years of experience in inventory, stocking and managing shipments

  • Experience with material handling techniques

Primary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
