We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to manage daily operations at our data center shipping and receiving clerk. This role is critical to maintaining efficient logistics and delivering a high level of service to our customers. This role goes beyond logistics—it is a customer service position at its core. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk serves as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and a professional experience at every step.
Our clerk handles a high volume of inbound customer equipment, typically ranging from 40 to 150 packages per day. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, processing, and tracking all incoming shipments with accuracy and urgency.
Key responsibilities include:
Receiving and inspecting inbound customer equipment.
Logging all shipments into ServiceNow (SNOW) and creating tickets to notify customers of arrivals.
Maintaining and updating tickets with real-time status and detailed notes.
Coordinating with internal teams and customers to ensure timely handling and delivery of equipment.
Organizing dock space and ensuring safe, efficient material handling.
Supporting outbound shipments and coordinating with carriers as needed.
Key Skills:
0-1 years experience in a customer service environment, high-volume warehouse or data center environment preferred, but not required.
Experience with forklift, forklift certified or able to become forklift certified preferred. Able to operate a pallet jack.
Multi tasking - we use several different systems to manage ticket queues. Work tasks can change throughout the day.
Attention to detail - ability to understand and follow a documented process and Iron Mountain’s safety code, role is very process driven.
Organization & prioritization - following processes and managing your time with minimal supervision to get work done efficiently and on time.
Customer service mentality - we are customer obsessed.
Working hours are varied and nights, weekends and holidays may be required.
