JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Review shipping orders as distributed by shipping supervisor.
- Process orders accordingly (i.e. picking orders)
- Ensure that yard and warehouse are organized in a manner that maximizes efficiency, safety and customer order turnaround.
- Put away all finished product from Fabrication and Assembly area (stock stored inside and outside) in the designated warehouse spaces.
- Construct packaging i.e Skids/Gaylords
- Inspect packaging.
- Repack damaged products.
- Apply labels as required (i.e. barcodes).
- Keep work area clean (i.e. yard, bundle area)
- Place scrap material in designated material bins (i.e. wood, strapping, cardboard)
- Participate in the PVC Recovery program, ensure recycling of: broken pipe scrap pipe
- Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Lift truck certification.( Counterbalance, order picker and reach truck) required
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.
