The Warehouse Shift In-Charge, location: Sonipat is responsible for supervising and coordinating warehouse activities during assigned shifts to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations. The role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring adherence to SOPs and customer SLAs, and managing day-to-day operational activities related to storage, handling, and dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management:

  •  Supervise receiving, unloading, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations during the assigned shift in line with SOPs and customer SLAs.
  •  Ensure timely delivery of orders and availability of stock for smooth warehouse operations.
  •  Manage day-to-day warehouse activities during the shift, including monitoring inbound and outbound volumes.
  •  Handle pre-pack brand stock within defined cut-off timelines while ensuring quality and SOP compliance.

Inventory Management:

  •  Manage bulk inventory including onion, potato, garlic, and imported chilled items.
  •  Ensure accurate daily stock records of fruits and vegetables.
  •  Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.

Stock Accuracy & Compliance:

  •  Conduct daily inventory cycle count audits and ensure same-day variance closure.
  •  Monitor product expiry and shelf life while ensuring FIFO/FEFO compliance.
  •  Ensure timely identification and liquidation of damaged or expired stock to minimize losses and maximize cost recovery.

Reporting & System Updates:

  •  Update and maintain inventory records in Quip and Google Sheets systems.
  •  Maintain shift-wise operational records and support reporting requirements.
  •  Coordinate with the warehouse manager and other teams to resolve operational issues.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  •  3–6 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in FMCG, grocery, or fresh produce handling.
  •  Strong knowledge of inventory management processes including FIFO/FEFO and cycle counting.
  •  Basic knowledge of warehouse systems, inventory tracking tools, and reporting platforms.
  •  Good coordination, supervision, and problem-solving skills.
  •  Ability to manage teams and operations during assigned shifts.
