JOB PURPOSE
The role of a Shift Engineer is to deliver customer service requirements by ensuring optimal sustained running of the Distribution Centre. This role will include:

As Shift Engineer, you will be the technical expert for the Distribution Centre on your allocated shift: This will include activities such as:

Downtime and challenges within the Distribution Centre have the potential to stop PSL factories and customer deliveries. A proactive response to problem solving and decisive decision making is essential to avoid losses and ensure general smooth running within the Distribution Centre.
In this role you will need to:
An in-depth knowledge of the principles and parameters of the machines/systems will be needed to effectively perform these problem-solving tasks. You will need to be capable and confident of using and training others to use UMS and other problem solving and improvement tools.

Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
