SHE Manager (Chemical Manufacturing experience required)

You will ensure that our facilities are safe and compliant with all applicable country, regional, and local regulations, implement, monitor, and review ECOLAB global and regional initiatives and establish, maintain and continually improve the local management systems and performance of the plant in the areas of safety, health, and environment. This involves active leadership, coordination, and participation in all relevant aspects of the site

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and organize central safety and environment committee meetings and employee consultation committees

  • Ensure corrective actions from the audits and incident investigations are implemented on a scheduled basis and that the action is post audited for effectiveness

  • Establish, review and implement safe work instructions, procedures and safety and health equipment, apparatus maintenance programs for relevant equipment and processes

  • Collate local safety and health statistics based on ECOLAB operational guidelines. Complete International Injury Reporting reports for ECOLAB Global Operations EHS management   

  • Conduct and monitor behavioral audit and hazard inspection results to drive behavioral performance improvements and change through training and extended counseling of employees

  • Conduct safety and health incident investigations and root cause analysis including near miss situations

  • Establish, conduct and review environmental risk assessments involving local plant and corporate personnel as necessary

  • Perform all mandatory and statutory licensing activities and reporting requirements to regulatory authorities. This includes renewals and reporting

  • Provide and act as a resource for line management in environmental management and decision making

  • Ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Safety, Health & Environmental, Chemical/ Environmental Engineering

  • 10 years of experience in safety role and relevant industry.

  • Singapore registered Fire Safety Manager is a must. Excellent knowledge of environmental and safety regulations in Chemical Manufacturing Industry.

  • Experience with Quality System Management ISO-9000

  • Experience with Environmental System Management

  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation

  • Team-player, collaborator with good verbal and written skills
