A Brief Summary of This Position:

This SharePoint Solutions Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and our SharePoint environment. This role involves understanding business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and configuring SharePoint solutions to improve collaboration, productivity, and information management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SharePoint's capabilities and a passion for helping others use technology effectively.

Essential Functions:

  • Day-to-day support of the SharePoint functionalities, resolving customer issues, and recommending solutions for improvements
  • Consults with the SharePoint Administrator/Engineer/Architect on the management and design of site collections, content databases, implementation of web part pages and site features, security policies, user account management, provisioning new sites, and problem resolution
  • Works effectively with end-users' issues/problem tickets and provides resolutions
  • Ability to provide 24x7 production support with rotating On-Call duties/ After-hours support
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and routine testing of backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures

Other Important Details about the Role:

  • Experience working with SharePoint Online, Windows, the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, ODFB, Teams, Power Apps, Power BI, and Copilot)
  • Experience collaborating with various teams within Valmont
  • Contributes to discussions on ways to improve functionality and usability
  • Suggests  iterative steps to continuously improve and optimize Web Services systems and processes
  • This position reports to the Web Services Manager, and will take direction and education from more tenured members of the team
  • This requires minimal (10%) travel (internationally/domestically), including overnight stays

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Preferred Bachelors with 3+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 5+ year relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience with SharePoint
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, specifically with hands-on experience in SharePoint Online, ODFB, Sharegate, PowerShell, and the M365 suite
  • Manages SharePoint / ODFB/ MS Teams administration and incident resolution 
  • Modernizes (according to business requirements and best practices) SPO sites that were migrated from SP2013 
  • Collaborates on new SharePoint business development projects (Sites, Workflows, Forms, Lists, etc.) 
  • Provides consistent, continuous, and knowledgeable interaction with the various business teams 
  • Sustains exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Retains strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Provides support and operates within a multinational organization
  • Is a self-motivating character with a strong emphasis on team dynamics
