SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Shared Service Manager leads a team of five and is responsible for managing all end‑to‑end Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes across the Pneumatics Platform. This includes ownership of billing, collections, cash application, invoice processing, disbursements, vendor management, and support for month‑end close and audit activities.

The role drives process standardization, strengthens internal controls, and partners closely with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Accounting to optimize working capital and support cross‑functional business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Lead and manage AR and AP Shared Services teams including billing, credit, collections, cash application, invoice processing, vendor maintenance, and payment execution.
  • Own all end-to-end AR/AP processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and adherence to internal controls.
  • Monitor AR aging and AP aging to ensure timely collections and optimized payment schedules.
  • Optimize KPIs and dashboards to drive performance, visibility, and cash-flow improvements.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations to resolve customer disputes, vendor issues, and billing discrepancies.
  • Support month-end close through reconciliations, accruals, reporting, and reserve calculations.
  • Standardize AR/AP policies, procedures, work instructions, and internal control frameworks across business units.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, workflow optimization, and ERP enhancements.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex AR and AP issues, including high-risk credit reviews and vendor disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX requirements, and audit controls.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development for Shared Services team members.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of AR, AP, or finance operations experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end AR and AP processes, controls, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity business environments.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits and month-end finance cycles.
