We are looking for our next AP Manager for the Shared Service Center on our Finance Team. The AP Manager for the Shared Service Center is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role involves managing a team of AP specialists, implementing best practices, and driving  continuous improvement within the AP process. The AP Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.

This position is located in Queretaro, MX.  

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $600,800 – 800,000. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:

Leadership and Management:

  • Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance
  • evaluation.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work
  • environment.
  • Set performance goals and objectives for the AP team and monitor progress.

Accounts Payable Operations:

  • Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, payment runs, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and analyze AP metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate AP processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across the AP function.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance systems and tools used for AP operations.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and review AP reports, including aging reports, payment forecasts, and accruals.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all AP transactions are accurately
  • recorded.
  • Provide analysis and insights on AP performance to senior management.

Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and support audit activities related to accounts payable.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all AP transactions.
  • Address audit findings and implement recommendations to improve AP processes

 What You’ll Need:

Education:          

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, financial systems, and accounting principles.
  • Experience working in a shared service environment is preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position that will occur from Monday - Friday.
