Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth, Cross-Sell & Target Delivery
Drive the Share Margin Financing business to meet AUM, loan, revenue targets.
Formulate and execute strategies to grow the SMF portfolio, and optimize product pricing and spreads to be market competitive
Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities by embedding SMF within broader Wealth solutions (e.g., unit trust, bonds, insurance, structured products).
Collaborate with Relationship Managers / Sales distribution network to generate referrals and enhance client engagement.
Conduct regular training, product refreshers, and coaching sessions to ensure RMs are updated on product, processes and compliance requirements.
Track performance against business KPIs and implement tactical campaigns to achieve targets.
2. Product Competitiveness & Market Intelligence
Continuously review and fine-tune product features — eligible counters, LTV structure, pricing, and processes — to stay competitive.
Benchmark product positioning and customer experience against peer banks and brokers.
Maintain strong relationships with brokers and broking houses for seamless deal execution and to stay updated on market liquidity, counter performance, and investor trends.
Be on the ground to sense market shifts and provide feedback for proactive product and policy tuning.
3. Portfolio Quality, Risk Management & Compliance
Maintain a zero NPL portfolio through disciplined monitoring and proactive client engagement.
Ensure full compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission, and internal risk frameworks.
Ensure systems used for credit monitoring are robust, accurate, and effective for timely alerts and reporting.
Maintain zero customer complaint by ensuring transparent communication, fast turnaround, and high service standards.
4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Work closely with stakeholders from Compliance, Credit, Risk, Operations, Product, and HLIB to ensure margin lending activities meet internal policy
alignment and governance.
Collaborate with Wealth Product and RM teams to drive cross-sell initiatives and integrated client solutions.
Support business and audit review to ensure full policy compliance.
5. Team Leadership & Execution Excellence
Lead, coach and manage the Share Margin team to achieve sales goals and service excellence.
Foster a performance-driven and customer-centric culture and ensure staff engagement.
Streamline & implement process improvements and leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency
Encourage innovation and collaboration across teams to improve customer and RM experience.
