Settlements Operations Specialist

Te tūranga – The role
As a Settlements Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of the Bank’s domestic and foreign market transactions. You’ll manage settlement lifecycle events, reconcile accounts, and investigate exceptions to ensure strong operational integrity and client service delivery.
You will provide support to Senior Settlement Operations Specialists and the Manager in daily operations and play a key role in contributing towards procedure reviews, process improvements and investigate transactional and system issues while exercising decision making to ensure a resolution is achieved.
The role also involves completing rostered shift work: 12pm-8:30pm in summer and 10am-6:30pm in winter.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
Experience in wholesale banking products and treasury settlements.
Working knowledge of settlement systems and infrastructures, including SWIFT, RTGS, CSDs, Euroclear, CLS, and treasury platforms.
Excellent organisation skills along with a can-do attitude will be your driver towards a customer focused approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for relationship building
Strong analysis skills along with a keen eye for detail to help to formulate resolution strategies towards excellence in business delivery
