Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering & Process Mapping

· Participate in discovery workshops with legal stakeholders.

· Translate legal processes (intake, matter management, contract review, litigation workflows, etc.) into clear functional requirements.

· Provide insight into legal terminology, regulatory obligations, and operational nuances.

· Support creation of process maps and user stories that reflect legal standards.

2. Act as a Bridge Between Legal Teams and ServiceNow Delivery

· Serve as the domain expert to inform designers, BAs, and developers.

· Clarify legal context behind workflows, approvals, confidentiality requirements, and decision points.

· Ensure technical solutions align with real-world legal practice.

3. Workflow Validation & Compliance Alignment

· Review proposed designs and configurations to ensure they reflect correct legal logic.

· Identify legal risks, compliance constraints, or mandatory steps that must be preserved.

· Validate ServiceNow LSD workflows for accuracy, completeness, and legal integrity.

4. Legal Roles, Permissions & Access Control Guidance

· Advise on legal role structures (e.g., General Counsel, Paralegal, Legal Admin).

· Define access rules based on ethics, confidentiality, privilege, and jurisdictional requirements.

· Support creation of role-based access models.

5. Testing & Quality Assurance (UAT Support)

· Develop test cases representing real legal scenarios and exceptions.

· Participate in User Acceptance Testing to validate legal workflows, templates, forms, and matter handling.

· Sign off on legal accuracy and operational fit.

6. Documentation & Governance Support

· Assist in drafting process documentation, user guides, and legal workflow definitions.

· Support governance decisions on template management, document handling, and workflow updates.

· Advise on ongoing operational improvements post–go-live.

7. Change Management & User Adoption

· Support onboarding and training of legal users by explaining system logic in legal terms.

· Help legal staff understand how ServiceNow supports compliance, workflow transparency, and efficiency.

· Act as a trusted liaison between the implementation team and legal department.

Required Qualifications

Education & Knowledge

· Bachelor of Law, or equivalent legal education.

· Strong understanding of legal operations, workflows, and terminology.

· Knowledge of legal intake processes, matter management, or contract lifecycle workflows.

Experience

· Experience working with legal departments, law firms, or legal operations teams.

· Familiarity with digital transformation or workflow automation projects (ServiceNow experience preferred but not mandatory).

· Experience aligning legal processes with operational or technical systems.

Skills

· Excellent communication, able to explain legal concepts to technical teams.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to map legal processes and define requirements clearly.

· Understanding of confidentiality, privilege, and compliance constraints.

Preferred Qualifications

· Prior experience with ServiceNow LSD, Legal Operations technology, or legal workflow tools.

· Experience in cross-functional implementation teams.

· Knowledge of data privacy regulations impacting legal workflows (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
