Position Summary:
The ServiceNow Senior Administrator is responsible for advanced administration, configuration, and optimization of the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures platform stability, manages complex integrations, supports advanced workflows, and leads enhancements to meet evolving business needs. The Senior Administrator collaborates with IT leadership and stakeholders to maintain compliance, optimize performance, and deliver strategic service management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage ServiceNow instance health, upgrades, and patches.
Configure and maintain ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, SPM, ITAM, SecOps, etc.).
Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure platform stability.
Create and manage user roles, groups, and permissions.
Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
Implement advanced UI policies, business rules, workflows, and notifications.
Lead integrations with third-party systems and APIs.
Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior administrators.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in ServiceNow administration and configuration.
Advanced knowledge of scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) and integrations.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
Experience leading platform upgrades, migrations, and complex integrations preferred.
Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow scripting, APIs, and performance tuning preferred.
Work Experience, Education, and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience administering ServiceNow in an enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow architecture.
ServiceNow System Administrator and Implementation Specialist Certifications.
ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Reliable high-speed internet connection is required for all remote/hybrid positions.
Must have access to stable Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth to support video conferencing, cloud-based tools, and other online work-related activities.
A HIPAA-compliant work environment is required, including a secure workspace free from unauthorized access or interruptions, no use of public Wi-Fi unless connected through a secure company-provided VPN, and compliance with all applicable HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
