ServiceNow Developer, Junior (Public Trust Required)

ICF is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to support the development and enhancement of solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role is well suited for developers who are looking to grow their ServiceNow skills while working as part of an Agile delivery team supporting client‑facing solutions.

Job Location: This position requires that the job be performed in the United States. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF monitors employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses and also prohibits personal VPN connections.

  • You may be asked to work on the client site in Woodlawn, MD.
  • Core work hours are 9am–3pm Eastern Time, with flexibility to start earlier

What You Will Do

  • Support the configuration, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads.
  • Assist with development and configuration of ServiceNow components such as Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Flow Designer workflows.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Help configure and support workflows related to workplace requests, work orders, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and approvals.
  • Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of defects and issues across development and test environments.
  • Support integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, email actions, or MID Server as directed.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and support solution demonstrations as part of the delivery team.
  • Collaborate with team members and follow established development standards and governance practices.

Required Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3 years of experience as a software developer, ServiceNow developer, or ServiceNow administrator.
  • Hands‑on experience with basic ServiceNow configuration and scripting.
  • JavaScript skills and familiarity with ServiceNow APIs.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum‑based development environment.
  • Ability to follow development standards, guidance, and best practices.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess a ServiceNow System Administrator certification
  • Familiarity with physical security or facilities‑related workflows, including the SAFE suite of physical security applications and associated processes.
  • Understanding of identity and access management concepts, such as roles and ACLs.
  • Understanding of accessibility and usability best practices, including Section 508 considerations.
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile work management platforms.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$81,499.00 - $138,549.00
