Service Transition Manager
6 Months Fixed Term Contract
Location: Edinburgh, Peterborough or Witham (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 40% of their time)
Salary: A competitive salary from £57,600 - £86,400 depending on the experience you can bring

As Service Transition Manager, you will also work closely with senior stakeholders across all disciplines in our Technology and Transformation functions to manage, review and communicate our existing transition capabilities and objectives.
It will be your responsibility to ensure adherence to the policies, processes and tooling that are in place to manage, assess and provide clear audit trail of the transition of change through its lifecycle within Technology Operations, whilst always safeguarding the production environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
Manage and oversee the end‑to‑end transition of change, ensuring adherence to policies, processes and tooling that protect the production environment and provide a clear audit trail.
Lead engagement with delivery teams and senior stakeholders to shape, review and communicate the Release Roadmap, assessing service viability and alignment with operational and release constraints.
Govern and continuously improve transition practices, including schedule assurance, supplier coordination, release reporting, defect management and definition of release warranty criteria.
Oversee effective Environment Management by ensuring environments are available, maintained and aligned to delivery needs, working closely with operational teams and suppliers on deployment strategies.
Drive continual process improvement across Technology Operations through identification of efficiencies, education on upcoming change and facilitation of cross‑group collaboration.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Strong Service Management background - particularly relating to Service Operation and Transition, but with in-depth knowledge and experience of change, release and test environment management
Self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent service to their customers.
Good understanding of delivery methodologies – Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban
A fundamental knowledge of ITIL processes and how they are applied within a Technology Operations department.
Understanding of change and risk management within a complex operational environment
Experience of engaging and building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. You should have a proactive attitude and the initiative to anticipate customer needs.
Experience in supporting complex technical environments
