**Scope of Responsibility:**
**Specific Duties/Accountabilities:**
- Travel to client locations daily as scheduled.
- Conduct consultations with customers.
- Assess customer needs and discuss various solution methods.
- Install new heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
- Inspect existing HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to extend their longevity.
- Conduct performance tests using specialized tools.
- Troubleshoot issues with current HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Repair damaged HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Maintain records of customer appointments and payment transactions, including invoices.
- Keep an accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources.
**Basic Qualifications:**
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience.
- Required certification from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to handle refrigerants.
- Required certification or associate degree from an HVAC program at a technical school.
- Previous on-the-job training is a plus.
- Strong verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex HVAC issues to customers in an understandable manner.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Punctuality and adherence to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in various locations are essential.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, carry, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders and work at high elevations.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
