Service Technician

Sydney Full time

We are seeking a skilled and customer‑focused automotive/mechanical Service Technician to join our Nilfisk workshop team. This role suits a technician who enjoys hands‑on mechanical work, accurate diagnostics, and a well‑organised workshop environment. You will assemble, service, maintain, and repair Nilfisk equipment in Arndell Park.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test new equipment prior to delivery.

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and maintenance on Nilfisk equipment in the workshop.

  • Dismantle, repair, reassemble, and test machines to Nilfisk standards.

  • Manage workshop parts, including receiving, storing, and allocating items to the correct job.

  • Assist with dispatch, receiving goods, and customer drop‑offs when required.

  • Communicate with customers and provide clear updates about their equipment.

  • Complete digital job documentation accurately, including labour hours and parts used.

From time to time, customer site visits may be required to support field-based service technicians.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical or automotive servicing,

  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving ability,

  • Experience working with mobile equipment, electrical or hydraulic systems,

  • Clear communication skills and a customer‑focused approach,

  • High attention to detail, especially with documentation and parts allocation,

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital service systems,

  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence, and

  • The ability to safely lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy equipment following workplace safety standards,
