Service Technician, Industrial Water Treatment (Bettendorf, IA)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Technician located in the Bettendorf/Davenport, Iowa area to join our team. You will be responsible for water treatment operations of several large systems at an Aluminum mill. Daily duties will be preforming wet chemistry testing, calibrations of instruments, chemical dosing pump adjustments, maintenance and repair of chemical pumps.

What You'll Do:

  • Prioritize safety by helping maintain a risk-free environment and proactively addressing issues.

  • Run daily testing (wet chemistry and routine sampling) to keep water treatment programs performing at their best.

  • Keep equipment running—set up, calibrate, maintain, and repair chemical feed and testing systems.

  • Manage inventory by tracking chemical usage and ordering materials as needed.

  • Stay organized with clear documentation of testing, inventory, and system performance.

  • Partner with the sales team and support the customer on site to keep operations smooth and issues resolved.

  • Help others grow through training and contributing to strong, high-performance work systems.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).

  • Mechanical skills such as repairing small pumps (diaphragm, gear, progressive cavity, piston, centrifugal).

  • Basic plumbing experience (piping, tubing, threaded fittings).

  • Ability to work a 12-hour (2-2-3) rotating schedule 7am–7pm:

  • Week 1: Work Tue/Wed, off Thu/Fri, work Sat/Sun/Mon

  • Week 2: Off Tue/Wed, work Thu/Fri, off Sat/Sun/Mon

Eligibility Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Eligibility to work within the US

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting ability

  • Strong time management skills and a disciplined work behavior 

  • Strong team working skills to meet customer expectations and troubleshoot difficult technical issues

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire for continuous, independent learning

The expected compensation range for this position is between $42,800.00 and $71,400.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
