About the role:

Based in Perth, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Team Leader to join our Healthcare team.

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will lead a small team of field service technicians and be accountable for the timely installation, service and maintenance of our critical medical and laboratory equipment to Hospitals, Healthcare and Life Science facilities in WA. 

This role will involve some statewide travel to customer and supplier sites, as well as interstate travel for training purposes, as required.

Your responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage a region of our service business, in collaboration with (and with support from) the wider service leadership team.

  • Lead the WA service team from the front, setting a proactive example to ensure service work is completed right the first time and delivered on time.

  • Be a safety champion; lead safety for your team and the wider organisation.

  • Provide leadership to our cross-functional technicians by supporting organisational goals and strategies.

  • Provide direction and technical expertise, and support technical training for the team as required.

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate small equipment installations and support the Projects team on larger equipment projects.

  • Help develop service efficiencies and continuously improve processes and procedures.

  • Support and represent the organisation in customer escalations, and at site or manufacturer meetings.

By nature, you will ideally possess:

  • Good technical skills and knowledge, preferably gained in a healthcare environment (however, practical and suitably skilled technicians from other industries may adapt and develop the necessary skills).

  • Sound knowledge of, and commitment to, safe working procedures.

  • A high level of communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Well-developed people leadership and strategic leadership skills.

Technically speaking you will preferably have:

  • Equivalent experience, such as knowledge of medical equipment, mechanics, electronics, electrical motors, or industrial washers/washing machines.

  • Experience servicing equipment in a medical setting will be highly regarded.

  • Hold a valid driver’s license.

  • Possession of (as a minimum) a current Restricted Electrical License is essential.
