Service Rep/Specimen Accession

Little Rock AR Full time

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Little Rock, AR.

Work Schedule: 1 p.m. – 9:30 p.m Monday - Friday

Job Responsibilities

· This is a hybrid job that performs two functions.

· Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

· Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas

· Accurately identify and label specimens

· Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities

· Meet department activity and production goals

· Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples

· Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

· Resolve and document any problem specimens

· Pick up test samples and supply request forms from designated locations

· Deliver laboratory supplies, reports, and other materials along a specified route

· Follow an established route sequence and time schedule to ensure timely service

· Adhere to standard procedures for the preparation and transportation of specimens

· Prepare laboratory specimens for designated departments or locations prior to analysis and testing

· Unpack specimens received from branches or ports

· Sort and route specimens by type to the appropriate staging areas within the laboratory

Minimum Qualification:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· Valid Driver's License and be at least 21 years old

Preferred Qualification

· 1 year or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing

· 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience

· 1 years or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital

· 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment

Additional Job Standards

· Comfortable handling biological specimens

· Ability to accurately identify specimens

· Experience working in a team environment

· Strong data entry and organizational skills

· High level of attention to detail

· Proficient in MS Office

· Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

· Ability to pass a standardized color-blind test
